Children and Infants
We provide absolute comprehensive care for our young patients. This results in the very best facial form, bite, and profile possible. We are also patient in our instruction to teach the children the very best way to brush and avoid decay. We may discuss the advantages of electric and sonic brushes. Our office does believe strongly in preventive care for children. We will discuss "laser bonded" sealents and fluoride use if appropriate. Our office is also quite involved in nutritional counseling in proper diet development (as this is a prime factor in cavity formation). This practice considers the dental care
for children to be one of its most important missions. Most of
us had unpleasent experiences going to the dentists as
children. We don't want your children or any child in this
practice to have that; therefore we use lasers which do not
require any anesthesia or shots. We also use computerized
anesthesia so your child will not be frightened by a scary
looking needle. Early cavity detection enables more
comfortable treatment. We look at the development of the
dental arches (upper and lower) and how they are affected by
the tonsils and adenoids and tongue position to insure that
proper growth occurs.
We are very involved with your child's
dental arch form and orthodontic needs and will make proper
treatment, or treatment recommendations should the need
arise.
